This Tourism Strategy and Action Plan is intended to be a forward-looking visioning document which will help the three governments to secure future funding for implementation of responsible tourism initiatives in the Prespa lakes basin.The development of the tourism industry in the area is seen as an important way of helping to preserve and restore the Prespa Lakes basin’s
environment, and to provide important alternative income sources in an economically challenged area.
